Los Angeles, Sep 18 (EFE).- Actress Penelope Cruz, after “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace” took this year’s Emmy for the Outstanding Limited Series, told EFE on Tuesday that she “really wants” to work with its creator, Ryan Murphy, again.
“It was nice to be there all together,” said the actress about the 70th edition of the Emmy Awards with all the actors in the series gathered at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to receive the award.
“I’m very proud to be part of that family that Ryan Murphy creates. He’s a charming person. We connect very well and I really want to work with him again,” said Cruz on a day spent speaking to media outlets before the US debut of the film “Loving Pablo.”
“I dedicate the Emmy to all those in the series. The work of people like Darren Criss, Edgar Ramirez, Ricky Martin, Judith Light … They are all marvelous. It was nice to be able to be together holding hands on the stage,” she said.
Cruz plays the designer Donatella Versace in the series broadcast on the FX cable channel in the US.
This is the second work by Murphy, an acclaimed producer and screenwriter, under the umbrella of the “American Crime Story” true crime anthology television series, the first one being “The People v. O.J. Simpson,” which also received critical and public accolades.
