San Jose, CA September 22, 2023— Tabard Theatre announces Mira Goto — “Before” Album Release live in concert on Sunday, September 24, at 4pm. This self-released EP showcases Goto’s heartfelt musicality and personal experiences as a songwriter. Joining her on stage is the talented and charming Anthony Goto. The show is available both to attend in-person and to stream from home live. For those unable to attend at the downtown San Jose venue or to tune in live, the high-quality multi-camera recording will also be available On-Demand for 30 days following the show. In-person single tickets are $25 for General Admission, and $35 for reserved Cabaret seating. Livestream or On-Demand tickets are “choose your own pricing”.
Audiences are invited to experience the captivating acoustic duet performance that has garnered resounding praise. Mira and Anthony’s intimate synergy creates a memorable experience with not only a collection of original songs, but a handful of their favorite covers. At Goto’s shows, you can expect to hear the stories behind the original works, how something was created, what inspired it, or anecdotes about her co-writers. “I think it helps the listener feel more connected to the songs, but also to me and my journey as a songwriter,” says Goto. Mira Goto follows in the footsteps of today’s country songwriting superstars, driving powerful lyrics along with catchy choruses throughout her catalog. Born and raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California, Mira currently resides in both Santa Cruz and Nashville, TN. Influenced by a broad range of genres, she describes her sound as ‘the love child’ of Colbie Caillat and Kacey Musgraves. Mira made her radio debut with her single “Nobody Warned Me” which charted at an impressive number 34 on the Music Row Country Breakout Chart. Her follow up singles “Anybody Else” and “Fine” have garnered national attention from country radio. In 2019 Goto won the NEXTies Musician of the Year, and in 2020 & 2021 she won The Santa Cruz Good Times’ Best Local Musician.
Tabard Theatre (formerly Theatre on San Pedro Square) — The Destination for Arts Discovery — is located in the heart of historic San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose amid a bustling restaurant district.
