San Jose, CA October 16, 2023— Tabard Theatre announces Smokus Pocus, a night of cannabis themed mind-blowing tricks that will leave you tripping on Friday, October 27, at 8pm. Innovative feats of magic are fused with the world of weed as magician and cannabis connoisseur Ben Zabin takes audiences on a journey of ‘dank debauchery.” The show is available in-person, single tickets are $30 for General Admission thru Oct 19 and $35 starting Oct 20.
For over two years Smokus Pocus has been touring theaters across North America, along with extended residencies in Brooklyn and Las Vegas, delivering a spectacle packed with tokes, jokes, & tricks. Jars of bud appear, lighters come to life, and bongs bend reality in an unforgettable performance designed to enthrall both the stoned and sober.
Cannabis connoisseur Ben Zabin has spent most of his life onstage performing 1000+ magic shows for global audiences.
After living a dual life of doing magic shows on cruise ships while simultaneously running a strong weed hustle, Zabin left those worlds to combine his passions of magic and cannabis to create Smokus Pocus. Since the first performance in May of 2021 in Portland, OR, Smokus Pocus has since toured throughout the US and Canada, staged multiple sold-out extended runs in Brooklyn, and became the first 420-themed attraction in Las Vegas during a residency in 2023 at AREA15.
