LOS ALTOS ROTARY CLUB PRESENTS ART WITH PURPOSE
Happy 50th Birthday to Fine Art in the Park!
Celebrate and meet more than 150 award winning juried artists and their great original art while enjoying live jazz music, rock and blues bands, Irish dancers, choral and local youth performing groups and even fencing demonstrations! Wow, and that’s a first one for me! Foodies rejoice! You will find plenty to savor with a line-up vendors including Chef Chu’s (and that’s where you will find me dishing his famous chicken salad), Aurum, Redwood Grill, Rustic House, Taco Al Vapor, California Crape, Mr. Falafel and Kettle Korn.
Local wines and craft beers round out the offerings including the sustainable bottled water to keep you cool and happy. Great news: The leashed dogs are welcome! The event is organized and presented by the dedicated members of Los Altos Rotary Club and its volunteers under the brilliant baton of Carol Dabb, the Rotary’s Art Director who masterfully curates the highest-quality art show and Royce Cabbayan who oversees the show’s weekend activities. Each year this event raises more than $100,000 for Rotary’s local and international service projects.
Every dollar raised by the Los Altos Rotary Club goes to organizations making a difference in people’s lives.
Supporting international projects include promoting health, literacy, sanitation, sustainable agriculture and the environment in underserved communities across Americas, Africa and Asia.

SAN FRANCISCO SYMPHONY IS JOINED BY LYLE LOVETT AND HIS ACOUSTIC GROUP TO CELEBRATE “HARDLY STRICTLY BLUEGRASS” FESTIVAL
September 13, 2025 at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco
This is definitely, positively and not to be missed one of the most fascinating performances in San Francisco this fall! Presented in partnership with Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, the concert celebrates the iconic San Francisco music festival’s 25th anniversary. “The San Francisco Symphony has been a cornerstone of live music in the Bay Area for over a century.
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is honored to mark our 25th anniversary with its world-class musicians and the one-and-only Lyle Lovett, while also supporting the Symphony’s Music and Mentors program, which nurtures the next generation of musical artists in our public schools,” said Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Executive Director John Caldon. “This first-ever collaboration brings the meadows of Golden Gate Park to the stage of Davies Symphony Hall, uniting two beloved San Francisco institutions in a celebration for the entire community.
It’s a beautiful way to honor the legacy of our dear friend Nancy Hellman Bechtle—and an uplifting reminder that music, in all its forms, brings us together.” As a huge fan of Lyle Lovett, the HSB and the SF Symphony – I will definitely be there! Hope you do too.
Information: Tickets, starting at $49, go on sale on July 19 at sfsymphony.org
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass’s 25th anniversary festival takes place October 3–5, 2025, in Golden Gate Park. hardlystrictlybluegrass.com
