The dazzling English violist Timothy Ridout, one of Europe’s foremost young stars, will showcase his virtuosity and the singular magic sounds of his viola, known as the orchestra’s inner voice, by performing two contrasting works: Williams’ Suite for Viola and Paganini’s Sonata per la Grand Viola.

The concert’s repertoire will also feature Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: Ballade in A minor; Ralph Vaughan Williams: Suite for Viola; Niccolò Paganini: Sonata per la Grand Viola and Felix Mendelssohn: Symphony No 4 Italian.

New Arrivals for the Harvest Time: Deerfield Ranch Winery Welcomes Oak Barrels From Various Forests in France and Pennsylvania!

Exciting news just in time as fermentation of the grapes are nearing completion… The wine will then go through their super sophisticated Italian press. PJ, the winemaker, calls it her Ferrari; it comes from Italy, it’s on wheels, but she can’t drive it to town!)

The fermented juice then goes into the barrels, which have arrived from France and Pennsylvania ( Extended barrel aging helped concentrate the flavors in this 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon) on to the Crush Pad and later on to the cave to begin the long journey to the bottle, which eventually will end up on your dining room table.

And what is the famous Deerfield Ranch Winery pouring now in anticipation of the  harvest? Taste The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon – Sonoma Valley and 94 Points, Double Gold – American Fine Wine as they work closely with several of the best growers in Sonoma County, harvesting the varietals for this outside the box blend. This is as good as gets! Cheers!
