Tabard Theatre announces Devil In California with Sultra Divine & Circular Vision

San Jose, CA September 30, 2023— Tabard Theatre announces Devil In California with Sultra Divine & Circular Vision live in concert on Saturday, September 30, at 8pm. The Devil In California brings hard-hitting, heavy rock music, hailing from the broad, cracked streets of West Oakland California. Big heavy guitars, pounding drums, and soaring vocal harmonies come together in a beautiful swirl of nostalgia and modern rock power.  Joining them on stage is Circular Vision and Sultra Divine. The show is available both to attend in-person and to stream from home live. For those unable to attend at the downtown San Jose venue or to tune in live, the high-quality multi-camera recording will also be available On-Demand for 30 days following the show. In-person single tickets are $25 for General Admission. Livestream or On-Demand tickets are “choose your own pricing.”

The Devil In California offers their own brand of heavy rock, with low-slung guitars, attitude, impeccable musicianship, and soaring 3 and 4 part harmonies that crush with historic rock power and finesse. Hailing from the broad, cracked streets of West Oakland California, The Devil In California have set out to create new rock music, and bring it to the world. They do that in-between thing. It’s heavy, but not metal. It’s sing-alongy, but not sappy.

In the beginning, Jamie and his musical partner in crime, Matt Stewart laid the groundwork for this heavy, low, southern-influenced rock concept. The “audition”, and immediately subsequent induction of seasoned rock vocalist Tony Malson made them a band, but they still wanted more from this sound. In search of the perfect “big rock wall of guitars”, TDIC hunted for a second gunslinger. While recording their first demo, they found him in Snake Green (Skinlab, Re-ignition).

The band exploded into existence seemingly all at once! In a couple short years they found themselves on stage at amazing Bay Area venues such as Slims, DNA Lounge, Brick and Mortar, The New Parish, and The Fillmore. They were sharing stages with nationals including Three Days Grace, Black Star Riders, Skid Row, Crobot, Truckfighters, Charm City Devils, Prong, The Supersuckers, Motor Sister, Tracii Guns, and John Corabi (of Motley Crue fame). Their debut album release show at San Francisco’s DNA Lounge was SOLD OUT. Rising quickly in the Bay Area scene, these fellas have had to work hard to keep up with demand. As well as touring the nation, they’ve played every local favorite from Benders, The New Parish, and Thee Parkside, to DNA Lounge, Slims, and The Fillmore.

Circular Vision is an alternative rock band out of the Bay Area that brings a new sound that still rings familiar, ultimately satisfying all who hear it. The songs of Circular Vision are inspired by everyday life and the impressions that every moment in time leaves upon each and every one of us. Starting this band these four musicians had a vision about what it could be….with no idea how it might sound. But after jamming, they all knew that they had found something magical about their sound. Circular Vision is  Sean Stoney (Bass Guitar/Lead Vocals),  Sammy Sabbah  (Rhythm Guitar/Back Up Vocals),

Jason Taylor (Lead/Rhythm Guitar) and Joshua Ray (Drums).

Sultra Divine is an all-original Melodic Hard Rock Band, locally based in Pacifica, Ca. Their blend of heavy melodic guitars joined with the angelic vocals of lead singer Pegeen makes for an amazing sonic combination. Sultra Divine’s current lineup has been on the scene for a couple years now with their “Out of the Darkness” EP, and are currently in the studio writing/recording their next EP due to be out next fall.
