San Jose, CA November 6, 2023— At the beginning of October, Tabard Theatre launched Off Mic—a brand new open mic event on Mondays. This multi-genre free open mic caters to comedians, singers, instrumentalists, poets/spoken word artists, and more. The event, which is timed to begin after the downtown venue’s popular San Jose focused variety show Off Nite, ended, goes from 10pm to Midnight, with sign ups beginning at 8:30pm. Tabard is now pleased to report that the event is growing in popularity and will continue with new expanded hours from 8pm to 11pm starting on Monday, November 20 when Off Nite goes into hiatus. Until that date it will continue at its current time.
Tabard Theatre (formerly Theatre on San Pedro Square) — The Destination for Arts Discovery — is located in the heart of historic San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose amid a bustling restaurant district. This intimate and unique venue brings a touch of Manhattan to the South Bay with its rustic yet edgy feel. The three-quarter round cabaret stage nestled in an inviting room of antique wood floors and original brick walls is the perfect intimate setting for live music and comedy.
