San Jose, CA November 15, 2023—Tabard Theatre announces San Francisco’s The Happys on Saturday, December 2. Channeling classic rock, grunge, and surfy feel-good-vibes The Happys have acquired a fast growing fanbase with their catchy live performances. Kicking off the night will be alt-rock trio The Axidents and rising-star hip-hop artist TeYo. The show is available both to attend in-person and to stream from home live. For those unable to attend at the downtown San Jose venue or to tune in live, the high-quality multi-camera recording will also be available On-Demand for 30 days following the show. In-person single tickets are $25 for General Admission with Early Bird pricing of $20 thru Nov 23. Livestream or On-Demand tickets are “choose your own pricing.”
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, The Happys have toured nationally garnering a strong cult following their guerilla marketing techniques and rowdy live performances. The Happy have won several awards most notably, they were voted 2022 Best Punk Rock band of the North Bay by The Bohemian and Pacific Sun. They have toured and shared the stage with a variety of acclaimed artists such as Sublime with Rome, Hobo Johnson, Sensi Trails, Dwight Yoakham, Mad Caddies and Del the Funky Homosapien. They have released 2 full length albums and an EP “Bipolar.”

Pulling influence from bands like The Strokes, Interpol, and Title Fight, their music dynamically features a mix of post-punk and rock elements, complete with steady guitar riffs, driving basslines, and powerful vocals. Their debut EP, “What Took You So Long,” came out in 2017, earning wonderful reviews with a track record of over 3 million streams on Spotify alone. Live performances are their forte. Whether it’s an intimate club or a big stage, The Axidents bring an infectious passion that keeps the audience coming back for more. Offstage, they’re a close-knit crew with a shared love for storytelling through music. Dedicated and rebellious, they’re on a mission to make their mark on the world. TeYo is a 17-year-old singer based in Vallejo, CA who produces and writes all his own music in his bedroom, and has earned a Spotify following of neary 76,000 monthly listeners. He says, “I have BIG motivation, BIG aspirations, and BIG dreams. Watch as I make them come true.”
Tabard Theatre (formerly Theatre on San Pedro Square) — San Jose’s “Hidden Gem” venue for the performing arts— is located in the heart of historic San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose amid a bustling restaurant district. This intimate and unique venue brings a touch of Manhattan to the South Bay with its rustic yet edgy feel. Old brick walls, plush leather seats, antique wood plank floors, sweeping red velvet drapes and a 35-foot mahogany bar create a casual cabaret atmosphere. The three-quarter round cabaret stage— described by artists as “a room that feels big and small at the same time” — is the perfect setting for live music and theatre.
