Alluring Grand Celebrations of Mother’s Day

By Lina Broydo

Founded in 1908 by Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia,  Mother’s Day was given federal recognition in a signed proclamation in 1914 by President Woodrow Wilson announcing Mother’s Day as a national holiday that was to be celebrated on the second Sunday in May – a date that holds true to this year’s day of May 12 and is honoring motherhood and family life throughout the United States. Whether you plan to send flowers (and the most popular flowers to give for Mother’s Day are carnations, followed by roses, hydrangeas, sunflowers and tulips) they will symbolize your sign of love, appreciation and beauty.

One thing is for sure: your Mama deserves the best and with the creative and delicious assistance of the Bay Area Grand Hotels her dream and yours will come true.
